A lovely vacation!
Thanks to all of you that mailed us and gave us so many inspiring suggestions to where we could find a place to rest our heads during our vacation. Our first and regularly goal was the amusement park Gröna Lund in Stockholm, which the kids yearly forces their softhearted parents to visit with them. Now, the truth is that the parents’ actually have some fun at that place too. Especially when we this year had the privilege to go there with our Icelandic friends the family Sigurdsson-Ögmundsdottir and another two wild Icelandic ladies. We really had a great time!
But special thanks we would like to give you Lasse and your family - we hope that you received our postcard from the Zoo that you gave us a tip on. Also Rose-Marie and your family, thank you for the invitation - we might visit you next summer though it is possible that we will go north. Good to hear from you anyway.
We have also been doing some work at our house, or should we say garden. We actually were blessed with it! In fact we did not do very much our selves when it comes closer to reality. Well, Åsa worked some, but Bengt was mostly serving soft drinks, since we did not wanted the garden to fall into his hands (you never know what could have happened then), but our two dear brothers Timo & Lennart who where taking a whole day (and more) off - just to help us with all the things neither Åsa, nor Bengt could manage to do.
Thank you Lennart that gave one of your vacation days, and thank you Timo that gave us two full days of your time (and more) - we are so grateful to both of you! And your part Timo that gave us two full days really gave us tears of gratefulness. Not to forget both your wives and your families that was lending the two of you to us these days. Thank you Birgitta! And thank you Petra, which had your little Joel in your arms while your husband was making our garden a paradise! Finally after a year and a half we recently can see a hope rising on the horizon.
We also took a trip to Eskilstuna Zoo with our kids. We have been there once before. It is a nice little zoo that we can recommend everyone a visit.
After that trip we rented a small cottage in the forest near Mälaren, where we where fishing and having a great time a couple of days before we went back home again. Also a really nice place that we warmly recommend if someone are longing for a possibility to draw oneself back and have some peaceful moments alone or with your family. If this is the case, do visit Björknäs! (Sadly the website for Björknäs was not available in English)
This was all for now. We sincerely hope to hear from you all soon again. And please, do not hesitate to leave your comments on the blog when you visit us. With love!
